![]() | Dr. Krisada Chaiyasarn received a prestigious Royal Thai Government scholarship at the age of 18 to study in the United Kingdom. During this time, he obtained his PhD and undergraduate studies from University of Cambridge. He was a member of Geotechnical Engineering at Cambridge and supervised by Professor Kenichi Soga. After his PhD study, he joined JPMorgan in high frequency trading group for two years before returning to work in academia. He is currently a faculty member and serves as Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies at Department of Civil Engineering, Thammasat University, Thailand. His research interests include Smart Infrastructure, Building Information Model (BIM), Computer Vision and Image Processing in Civil Engineering, Structural Health Monitoring, Water Engineering and Climate Change. During his PhD research, he worked in a collaborative project with the funding of over 1M pounds to build a smart infrastructure network. His role was to build a Computer Vision system to monitor the health of the London underground network. Additionally, during this time, he worked with Belgium government to build an image-based monitoring system to monitor stability of slopes. Currently, Krisada is working on monitoring the health of historical buildings using latest image processing and computer vision techniques. His plan is to continue applying computer vision techniques in many areas of civil engineering. |
![]() | Dr. Chalee Vorakulpipat received his B.Eng. in electronics engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang Thailand and M.S. in information technology from Kasetsart University Thailand. He was awarded a scholarship from the Royal Thai Government to pursue a doctoral study. He earned his PhD in information systems from the University of Salford, UK. He is currently the head of Cybersecurity Laboratory at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center of Thailand. He has been involved in several projects in information security, mobile device management, social networking sites, ubiquitous computing, context-aware computing, e-health and mobile application development. He has over 30-refereed publications in these areas which appeared in conference proceedings and journals such as Computers & Security, Advanced Engineering Informatics, Automation in Construction and Knowledge Engineering Review. He also serves as subcommittee on national information security of Thailand. In the academic role, he works as a lecturer for information systems courses at several universities in Thailand. He holds information security professional certificates including CISSP, CISA and IRCA:ISMS Lead Auditor. |
